The CPX Vertical Windlass features a 316 stainless steel top cap and chain pipe with an alloy base so it is lighter than the all stainless steel V-Series deck units. With an emphasis on reliability; Lewmar has updated the architecture and reduced the number of parts to make this windlass easier to service. In addition to new styling; Lewmar has included a new IP56 splash-protected motor and worm drive gearbox for maximum strength. The CPX can be fitted with chain pipes for either starboard or port feed; allowing for paired installations. All models include circuit breaker; solenoid; up/down switch; wrap around stripper; manual override for emergency release and clutch cone drive for smooth control.
